Circus Field Basin, Stocklake, Aylesbury HP20 1AP, UK
What a wonderful place to moor for a few days whilst exploring the area. A short bus ride into Aylesbury and lovely parks nearby Fantastic facilities on site including a laundry room and showers, very welcoming and helpful people. Nothing was too much trouble, and I would highly recommend a visit here. Thank you for having us stay, and we will be returning again on our next trip down the lovely rural Aylesbury Arm.
We hired 'Catalina' for the day. After some excellent instruction from Geoff, we were soon under our own command and quickly got to grips with the boat and locks. Wilstone and back doesn't allow much time for relaxation though, as a skipper at least. We set off at 9.30 and didn't dawdle, having two boats following us. We only had about 40 minutes to picnic to make the recommended departure time of 1.30pm. Turning around was rather tricky with no obvious basin but we had some helpful advice from the other boats before they carried on past. The canal is a little overgrown and shallow in places, so perhaps some maintenance is due? Overall a great day out with glorious weather! Take midge repellant if you are susceptible.

A nice place for a walk, I take my dog here. Can be very muddy and quite slippery in the winter. Beautiful view in the summer time.
I bought one of the flats overlooking the canal. It will be beautiful in the summer.

A cosy area. Lots of sitting places. Two playgrounds, a basketball and football court. A cricket ground for the cricket lovers. If you want to watch volleyball, you can always come to the park after 5pm and you will find people playing it competitively. But if you just want sit, relax and enjoy the view, there are enough seats in the uphill area which is high enough for you to see the entire field. It is very therapeutic.
A great Park for families, dog walking and relaxing. Great children's play area, cricket pitch and football\basketball court. Bins could be bigger and more of them as can be quite a bit of rubbish after hot evenings and some of the rubbish (mainly leftover rubbish from picnics\takeaways not put in bin.

Vale Park is a nice clean well kept park excellent for spending some time in while you are in Aylesbury. It is also home to the Aqua Vale swimming and gym complex as well as an excellent skate park. If your lucky you may also get to see some local teens enjoying a few bevvies
Good park to enjoy all kinds of family things. Wish there was more user respect for the park as there are plenty of bins for rubbish and as families are there bad language could be curbed a bit. But younger children love using all things on offer.
